July 17

We are pleased to announce that will have a real Lotus Elan 26R for the event as well as a Lotus Mk 10. Rare Lotus Cars and not often seen out of a museum or car collection.

Schecter Guitars has donated a Lotus themed guitar, autographed by Mario Andretti, to be auctioned off at the Saturday night banquet. We will also be auctioning two Lotus 79 models, autographed by Mario Andretti, built by master modeler Jeff Morgan. Jeff has more than 250 hours into the building of the Lotus 79's and they are just a work of art.

Dan Gurney has donated wonderful autographed prints from his All American Racing collection to also be auctioned off.

One hundred percent of the auction proceeds will benefit the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust. The Trust was started by Sir Jackie Stewart to benefit the many people working in the pits, turning the wrenches of Formula
1 Racing. It is a wonderful cause and you can read more about the trust at http://www.gpmechanicstrust.com

July 17:

We have had a change in our guest speaker. Our announced guest and speaker, Matt Becker, head of Test and Development at Lotus Cars has been called away by pressing Lotus business overseas.

Gavan Gershaw, Technical Chief of Lotus Racing will be our guest for the LOG
33 weekend. Starting out in go karts and racing them till the age of 18, he has since raced many different types of vehicles. Gavan's involvement in the higher levels of LeMans type racing have led him to build a working relationship with many highly regarded racing engineers and racing teams. We welcome Gavan to LOG 33 and we hope you will show him your car and spend a little time getting some driving tips from one heck of a Lotus driver.

May 28:

The Wine Tour on Sunday was set up just to facilitate safe travel to the wineries so that no Lotus Owner was driving along the wine tour (obvious reasons) and the $45 charge just covers the transportation. There will be a $2 to $5 per person, per winery  charge for those wishing to sample the wines, payable at the wineries. We have also added a stop for lunch at a cost of $20 per person, collected at the time of the lunch.

A LOG 33 Menu has been added to the website. Please Click Here to go to the Menu page.

Hotel: The Radisson Hotel is booked full for Friday and Saturday. If you call the Radisson at 607-962-5000, mention Lotus Club or LOG 33 and they will put you on a waiting list.

May 17:

Radisson Hotel is completly booked for Friday and Saturday night. It is best to call the hotel and get put on a waiting list. And then book a room at one of the overflow hotels listed in the May 3rd update below. It is our experience that a few rooms may open up as we get closer to LOG with people who intended to come but get drawn away by familiy matters, weddings, etc etc. Priorities, Priorities :).

May 4:

LOG 33 attendee just called to say that he did get a room at the Radisson, so check with the Radisson before calling other overflow hotels!

May 3:

Rooms at the Radisson, our host hotel, are pretty much sold out for Friday and Saturday. LOG 33 guests are being put on a waiting list and being directed to the following overflow hotels. They are less than a mile from the host hotel.

April 3:

Don Ferrario, Ferrario Ford in Elmira NY (about 15 minutes from the LOG 33 Hotel as graciously offered for LOGGERs to park their tow vehicles, trailers and or cars should you arrive early before LOG 33 or want to stay later after LOG and have no place to park your vehicles. LOG 33 will provide parking during the event but not before and after. While Don obviously cannot be held liable for your cars, it is certainly better than parking them on a public street. He even has some inside storage if you need to park your Lotus 7 or Elan inside. He however does have limited space. Please call him at:

ELMIRA, NY
Ford, Lincoln
Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep
855-FORD-TRK, 866-99-JEEP-1
607-734-1681

His website is www.ferrario.com You can email Don HERE

Don has also offered the use of his facitily if a car has to go on a lift or needs some work due to some mishap or event.

Needless to say, if you are planning on buying a Ford, Chrysler, or Chevy, Don is a great guy and a Lotus friend. I have personally bought 5 or 6 cars from him over the years and he must be doing something right as I come all the way down from Buffalo (3 hours) to buy cars from him. Give him a chance to quote you, you will not be sorry.

April 2:

We are looking into arranging a second Laps and Lunch on Friday at 11:15 at Watkins Glen Track for those that want to do the Autocross or the Wine Tour but still want to do the Laps and Lunch. We do need a minimum number of cars, so if you are interested in doing the Laps and Lunch on Friday, please email me HERE.

If you are planning on bringing a tow car and trailer to LOG 33 please email me and let me know. We need to determine the space requirements needed for trailers and tow cars. There is an area behind the hotel for off street parking, but it is not that large. So if we need more space, we will need to arrange for that.
